See a Need - Fill a Need!

There is a lot that could be said here, in truth, what I want is to inspire others to engage in life more, to be present, and to feel capable of great change. I want this endeavor, and the light we create to be a spark that helps folks break free from shackles of disillusionment. To see the fact in the narrative that has been weaved thusly, and to find their purpose or calling in life.

These projections of mine and ours are focused on the people, the planet, the place where the paradigm needs to be shifted, and not the profit of these products and services. Sometimes that looks like reminders to get out and vote and to be kind to yourself and others, sometimes it is emotion and logic intersected into something else; and occasionally it might look like stories that entertain and enthrall you and make you think that things can be different in this life, sometimes… it just looks like having some fun.

Play is one of the first things we learn as a child, and is is a vital part of life that many have forgotten, and in the same way that humor disarms people and allows them to trust another, play allows us to connect and find friends! Play is dynamic and featured in all walks of life. Play is a core component of cultivating creativity and the inquisitive minds that stem from playing. It is, for these reasons and others, that I try to involve play in my mediums.

Play is not the only core component of this change of mindset we embark on, but also engaging with others, building community, connecting by seeing similarities in places of comfort. Turning walls into bridges with the power of play, and much more.

The world is so empty if one thinks only of mountains, rivers & cities; but to know someone who thinks & feels with us, & who, though distant, is close to us in spirit, this makes the earth for us an inhabited garden.
— Goethe
It is easy to pretend that nobody can change anything, that society is huge and the individual is less than nothing. But the truth is individuals make the future, and they do it by imagining that things can be different.
— Neil Gaiman
Be curious, not judgmental.
— Misattributed to Walt Whitman

How else will you engage with reality?

Entrepreneurship!

New and developing, this and other endeavors dot the horizon; however, entrepreneurship is a lot more than making a business, and the way we are doing it, is about a change needed in the social construct that we all live in.

In this case, Kat and I are trying to Lighten the Mood, so to speak. Playing and having fun is the best way to get people to do a thing, so why not make that the thing we do to change hearts and minds?

Not all bridges can be paved like this, but when we play, we find commonality and find less reasons to build walls and instead build trust.

Stewardship & Service!

Whether it is the people, the planet, or the purpose we serve, we aim to not only cultivate light, but steward those and that which will help to create it.

This looks different for a lot of people, and we do things a little differently here as a point. The goal, though, dear friends, is to leave the world better, for all.

We, at TTG Wrights, do this best, by serving those around us with our Callings, and our authentic selves.

Playing Games | Sharing Light

Though it doesn’t seem like it could make much of a difference to some, I feel that Video Games are an integral part of what makes me such a good writer, and is one reason for the aptitudes that I possess.

Where art, music, story, characters and worlds, challenges and puzzles all collide. Games foster empathy, creativity, teamwork, passion and much more is generated in these environments of a simulated nature.

We play on YouTube for now, but we might use Twitch for some things in the future!

Recreation Matters | Getting Outside

Exercise is an important part of being healthy, but we are not doctors to tell you how much you and your body should incur.

I just know that I don’t get out as much as I should, but the walks I do take in nature, the bike rides to a from places of hustle and bustle, give me more energy for other moments of my life.

Stay active howerver you do, and do more of what you will!

Community Building!

There are a few different levels and ways to build community, and because there are so many types of communities and ways to connect out there, it can sometimes be hard to see how linked they and we all are.

Ultimately, this aspect of the Power of Play is about making the friends with which to play. Find your circles, find your people, and find others outside both.

We can all find joy through play and make this life worth living that much more by doing so.

Volunteerism!

A key component to finding fulfillment in life is serving other people or by being of service to fellow people. It looks different in different organizations and for different people though.

I spend some of my time serving NW Kidney Kids, but not entirely. Local, national, great or small, spend some time seeing how much you are wanted, not just needed, and be brighter.

Sometimes, reaching out and taking someone’s hand is the beginning of a journey. At other times, it is allowing another to take yours.
— Vera Nazarian
Do what you will, this world’s a fiction and is made up of contradictions.
— William Blake
I am convinced that men hate each other because they fear each other. They fear each other because they don’t know each other and they don’t know each other because they don’t communicate with each other, and they don’t communicate with each other because they are separated from each other.
— Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
